    Meet Jeffrey Merrill

Jeffrey wears many hats: teacher, performer, improviser, composer, student, and worshiper.

As a teacher, he loves to help students discover their innate creative capabilities. He strongly believes that all people can create because we are all image bearers of an endlessly creative God. Beyond that, his teaching style is very enthusiastic and encouraging; he always tries to meet each student where they are at. Jeffrey also believes music teaches the values of discipline and consistent effort over time. In his own life, and in many students, he has seen the transformative power learning an instrument has on a person.

As a performer, Jeffrey loves to swing! Jazz was and is his first musical love, and he hopes to share the rhythmic joy this music has brought him as he plays on the bandstand. Jeffrey has played at many venues in town (Jazz Central, Berlin, Crooner’s, Volstead’s, Metronome Brewery, ect). Stay tuned for upcoming performances!

As a worshiper, Jeffrey regularly leads musical worship at his local church. However to him, worship is much more than a song: it is a reflection of a lifestyle built on sacrifice and trust in a loving Father.
